CHARLES (1864 - 1911) and ADELAIDE THOMAS

Charles Thomas was born on the 30th April 1864 in Hengiau, Llsdinaml, Breconshire to my great grandparents Samuel Thomas and Ann Lewis and was a younger brother of my great grandmother Elizabeth .

Charles married a woman called ADELAIDE CALLUM and had four sons

Details on Charles and his family are few to say the least. The 1881 Census shows that CHARLES (aged 16) was living with his parents at Builth and was employed as a Railway Goods Clerk.

However according to the notes that were made by his niece Lily Langler (nee Hobbs) Charles became a tea taster and lived in the same house as a jeweller and watchmaker called Cromerty.

Of the four sons one worked in a London bank, one at Ford's (Dagenham), one at the Thames Conservatory and one as a manager of a London Insurance company.

Charles died in June 1919
