As the 1881 Census indicates, Beatrice's father came from Norfolk where the surname NOCKALLS originates from. In fact the family can be traced back to a MARTIN NOCKALLS who was born in Norfolk in 1769. Her mother FANNY ROBINSON was born on 8th August 1860 in Sheffield and married MARTIN on 19th August 1879.
