Who Killed the Butler - Sheffield 1912

"(the butler was) livid and almost pulseless, and struggling for breath"

In the 1911 Census there is the following entry for a William Charles Ranger

Living with William was his wife of 19 years Amy Ranger and a 14 year old son Charles Richard Ranger. There was also another child from the marriage but he/she did not reach adulthood.

But William would never have envisaged that within the year he would be dead and that his death was due entirely to a Persian cat!
