Henry Henderson 1850 - 1930 - The Founder of Hendo's Relish - Sheffield
For those readers of this article who do not have "Sheffield connections" a word of explanation is needed. Henderson's Relish, known locally as 'Enderson's, Hendo's, Reli or simply "Relish", is a spicy and fruity condiment, similar in appearance to Worcestershire sauce, but which contains no anchovies. It is a vegan substance, made of water, sugar and spirit vinegar with a selection of spices and coloring. And it is simply astounding. One of Sheffield's greatest inventions without any shadow of a doubt
The Henderson's website has a section on the firm's history but is deficient in tracing the history of the founder Henry Henderson. In fact Henry Henderson sold the business in 1910 and had no further involvement in its running but his brand lives on to this day

I have been unable to find any photographs of Henry and his family which is unusual given his status as the founder of Henderson's Relish. And so if anyone can help me obtain any it would be great to put a face to a name that is part of my life.
