This part of the site initially started off as a tutorial exercise but has expanded out of all recognition. I hope that this section will eventually enhance the site as a whole and provide a useful resource for those of you who wish to check certain years and events. 

The starting date is my date of birth 16th November 1953 

I have tended to concentrate on actual events rather than individuals and so biographical details are kept to a minimum. Should you wish to check whether or not a person is dead or not, may I suggest you contact the excellent Dead or Alive website which is highly informative on such matters.
